Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum review

It's been a crazy few months. I've finally had a chance to blog! I received a sample size of Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum complimentary from Influenser for testing purposes a couple weeks. Yay! Another VoxBox! I have seen the infomercials about this line many times and was always interested. Meaningful Beauty claims that the Creme de Serum "helps protect, increase hydration and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles" I usually don't buy into these claims, but after using MB Creme de Serum, I really see a difference in my skin. The formula is very creamy, applies smooth and is very lightweight. The only drawback for possible users is the fragrant smell. It's a bit strong for a face treatment. It does bother me, but may for sensitive persons. My skin feels so soft and keeps my skin looking fresh and illuminate. My fine line around my eyes and lips seem less noticeable only after 2 weeks. I'd love to try the whole program, and see how it improves my skin. Overall this a great product that I will buy but feel that the price ,$64.00 at beauty retailers, is a bit high for the serum. I would probably just purchase from the Meaning Beauty website here and get the system for $39.99.

small vent

is it just me or are you all tired of seeing the same ol' collections year after year for the holidays? Or the same color/glitter/texture/whatever hot craze from different brands. Sooooo frustrating. Where is the creativity! China Glaze seems to be the best at switching stuff up and OPI the worse. So expensive and so boring!!! Need them to get on the ball. !!!!

MAC Prep + Prime BB cream compact

I have tried so many BB creams looking for something that will give me decent coverage without a heavy makeup feel but no luck. The closest I have found were Loreal Youth Code and Physicans Formula Super BB. Both had decent coverage and long wear, but settled into my lines and the colors just didn't match my skin tone.,I don't like the fact that a lot of these BB creams have only 2 shades to choose from. It really singles out millions of women who want to try BB. I saw MAC a cream too and I was super curious about it. But after reading the reviews and playing around with the tester, it was another no go for me. Pretty much, most BB are for teens and people in their 20's that have nice, pretty skin. Not older women with wrinkles, red blotches and saggy skin. Sigh. But I believe I have found a perfect one for us! I dropped by the MAC counter to see if they were getting Rick Baker line ( no they are not:((() and spotted BB compacts. The formula was nice and creamy and came in 9 shades! I asked the lady working to help me chose a shade and she applied light plus to one side of my face and light to the other. Light plus was abut darker than my skin tone and still showed all my flaws and did not blend well with my jaw line. Light worked out perfect. It came me enough coverage and I feel it really brightened my face up. It did not settle in my lines and pores and dried to a nice semi-matte. I'm just looking for a nice, lightweight everyday foundation and this is such a winner!!! You can find it for $30 at MAC counters/stores and of course online and yet again, it's available in 9 shades. I just looked at the wed site and they only had the fair skin shades up which is weird, but I'm sure they will all be up soon. Quick tip too. I prefer to use a small stipple brush to apply instead of the sponge provided. It gave me more control of my coverage.

Day 12- stripes

I wanted to get a little creative so I tried  to do some texture stripes. I used Sinful Colors Orange Cream as a base then for my stripes, Sally Hansen Sugar Coat in Cotton Candies, Sour Apple and Bubble Plum. I think for my newbie ways plus I was high on cough medicine, it came out ok. I used a small brush from my bundle monster brush/dotting tool set. If I had slowed Dow and payed closer attention, it would have been more epic. But I'm with the results and toe it is pretty cute and unique:))

Day 3

Day 3 - yellow! I can say I have never had yellow nails. Never really go for that color and most of my yellows are so pale, it's boring. But, I did pick up Bananappeal from the SinfulShine line and I just love it! I didn't want to just paint them yellow. I was inspired by the awesome shade to do a little nail art. Ok, it's not my best work, but I'm still learning. Poor Homer looks a little wonky, but hey, it's all for fun:)

Day 2

Again, delayed. I was half way finished with this post last, then, I fell asleep. It's been that kind of week so far. Anyways, day 2 was orange. I didn't have to get fancy with it but I found a new color that kicks butt! I picked up a couple of the Sinful Colors, SinfulShine polishes the other day and this cutie was one of them. Man, so far I'm loving this line from them. Patent Pleasure is a beautiful sheer shimmer that's very build able. It's hard to capture how pretty it is. I would say in natural light, it is a tangerine prance with pretty gold shimmer. These were done with 2 coats. And yes, no need for a top coat. These pretties have a wicked shine. If you are interested in trying the SinfulShine line, now is a great time to pick a couple up. Walgreens is running a sale on them for $2. Normally, they are $2.99. Plus they released some new colors that are super cute!

Day 1- (delayed) Red nails

Yesterday was a super busy day but I did find time to do the first day of Chalkboard Nails 31 day challenge. Day 1 was red! I was surprised how little red I have. But I chose my favorite red and one of my favorite polishes. Hey Sailor from the China Glaze Anchors Away 2011 spring line. I adore that collection! HS is so ..... I don't know. I can't put my finger on it. Such a pretty bright , nautical red. But not too bright. Beautiful shine. Looks a little jelly to me. Anyways, I was in a retro, nautical mood yesterday so I added a cute little anchor stamp as accent nails. Luckily my stamper plate was not doing what I wanted, and it came out cute and vintage looking.

The awesome Chalkboard Nails is doing another 31 day challenge and I think I'm going to try it. I always start off great then life and craziness makes loose momentum, I'm really hoping I can create some killer nail art and expand my skills with this challenge. Either way, they are super fun and it;s really exciting to see what everyone comes up with. First day is today! Wonder what I can come up with:)

Slim-Fast Strawberries ’N’ Cream Shake review

Hello lady!  Let me share one of my all time favorite things. Sli!m-Fast! I love it love it! I've tried so many diets through the years and one of the most successful plans is the Slim-Fast diet. I usually just use the shakes and I really have noticed and decreased  the sweet craving when using this. I normally drink the Rich Chocolate Royale ones, but I was sent a Slim-Fast VoxBox recently from Slim-Fast and Influenster. They sent the Slim-Fast shake in Strawberries 'N' Cream, a super cute martini glass and fun Slim-Fast-tini recipes(found here) to try with all flavors offered. The strawberry is super yummy! Nice to have a change from the chocolate.  Other flavors that are available are, Cappuccino Delight and French Vanilla. I love the new bottle design. They used to come in cans, which to me seemed to give me for of an aftertaste and I never failed to knock it over and spill half of it. Yes, I'm a super clutz. The bottle is shaped nice which makes it easier to hold and also makes it really great for on the go. I can close the cap and not worry:) Each shake has only 180 calories, 10 grams of protein (good for those sexy muscles) and 5 grams of fiber. With 2 shakes a day I get tons of vitamins and it helps me suppress the munchie urges that really can through you diet off track. I prefer the shakes to be chilled but warm is fine too. I mixed some berries into one, and it made it even better! Plus you are getting more good things in your body:) I can usually lose about 10 pounds in about 2 months with the mixture of 2 shakes a day, healthy meal choices and some light cardio. The one drawback to the new shakes is that they only seem to come in 4 packs, where the cans came in a case of 8 or 6 if I remember correctly. Regardless, even if you are not  dieting, Slim-Fast shakes are a great way to start your day and keep on track of a healthier lifestyle. Check them out! I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Five Below HAUL

We finally have a Five below in my city. The past couple of years I've had to stop by the one in the next city over, which is an hour away. I work there now but it's such a pain to get over to that side of town. Now that we have one, it makes it so much easier to shop there. If you are not familiar  with the store, they carry everything from candy to iPhone cases to team items and makeup. Not to mention all the other cute and fun stuff they have. Everything is $5 and under. I love picking up iphone 4 cases there. Not to mention all the nail polish!! They get the closeout Sally Hansen nail stickers, Funky Fingers nail polish and if you are lucky, Nicole by OPI colors. Today was no exception to the awesome finds, but I'm working with a tight budget now, so could not go crazy. I did spot some Chine Glaze nail stickers for only $3! Plus they had a ton of the snake skin SH nail stickers for $3. I ended up grabbing a Funky Fingers jawbreaker polish ($2), a red bandanna ($1) (those darn things are hard to find!), a new iphone case ($5) and some fimo nail art pieces($2.50). I really need to get back to grab some of the new FF Solar change polishes. Sadly, they are not part of the 3/$5 that usually go on the FF polishes, but $ is still a good deal.

Funky Fingers-jawbreaker

Isn't it adorable!

They also had rhinestone and glitter wheels too.

Sneak Peek on the drugstore deals

I'm a drugstore junkie. I admit it. My favorite is Walgreens. I can always seem to find all kinds of good deals, whether it be makeup or just household things. Second fav is Rite Aid. Sinful Colors- Leather Luxe

I usually keep up on all the polish lines, but this one got by me. I stopped by Walgreens on my way home and of course I checked the beauty aisle for anything new. And there it was. The new Sinful Colors Leather Luxe collection. All are new colors and better yet, all are matte! I bought all of them except the top coat. As soon as I walked in the door I had to swatch them. Two coats is perfect and they dry super fast. That's one thing I love about matte colors, the dry time. They were also part of the month long (and in most stores, not advertised) 3/$3. Super yay. And yes, that is a shimmer color you see. I was not able to get Cold Leather open, when is a pretty navy blue, do that joker is get exchanged tomorrow. The whole collections names reminds me of something kinky :)  This is the first line in a long time I'm super stoked about. If you find them, grab them up. I'm sure they will gone in a heartbeat.

In total, I think I spent around $7. Considering the Sugar Coats are sold for around $5, that's a great bargain!

Sinful colors mini haul

I'm on a Sinful Colors kick latley. So many great colors are out that I just can't help myself. I picked up 4 new shades from the Sail La Vie (Ahoy There! in some locations). I usually am not a blue person but something about these shades just called to me. I skipped on the others in the collection. Ahoy There was the only new one that I did not pick up. But probably will later with the great 2/$3 sale at Walgreens. I swear, get ready for a mega haul post. It's coming very soon I'm sure. Yet again, my nails are all out of wack. Poor cuticles:(

Tidal Wave. Beautiful light blue cream.

Sail La Vie. medium light blue.

New Wave. muted navy. (yes, it's possible)

My Bouyfriend. LOVE!!!! It's more of a blurple. So beautiful.

Sinful Colors super haul

After checking what felt like 50 Walgreens for the new SC Country Charmer and Rock It lines, I finally found them the other night at my local store. I'm trying to stay on a tight budget but ended up spending $9 on polish. At least they were on sale! The two new collections didn't excite me that much. I was more interested with the Bright Essentials collection. They are so.......bright! I foresee a trip to Walgreens during another $1 sale and grabbing the entire line. I ended up picking up two new shades from the new lines. Song of Summer and Opening Night. Also Berry Charm and the OPI Jade is the New Black dupe, Envy. From the BE line, Energetic Red and Eva So Bright. Song of Summer is such a unique color. Sinful Colors has really been on the top of their game recently with the new colors. All shades I purchased are creams except Opening Night. I have so many similar shades as ON, but hey, it's new and I "need" it:) Please forgive the swatches, my hands are jacked up after taking off my acrylics.
